Bluset Monospaced enlarges the re-worked and expanded text- and headline typeface family Bluest Now with 6 new cuts.

The concept for Bluest Now was based, in its original form, on a corporate design typeface by Elsner+Flake in 2004, ordered by the Landor Agency for a large German energy corporation.

Regularly re-worked and brought up to modern standards, the typeface is still used to this day.

More Because of its large x-height and its well-balanced appearance, Bluset Now Mono is also excellent for use in small typesizes.

The three Roman cuts, Regular, Medium and Bold, and the corresponding obliques, allow a clear differentiation of base- and display applications for every typesize.

The character complement has been created for 72 Latin-based language areas and thus allows a neutral text exchange across language borders.

Krimhilde was originally designed by Albert Auspurg and released in 1933 with the type foundry Ludwig & Mayer.

The design mixes elements of German blackletter typefaces and geometric sans-serif designs, which became popular in the 1920s in the movement known as New Typography.

The FDI version of Krimhilde offers both original styles (regular and bold) as version A with a full Latin 1 character set.

Version B has alternative shapes for some letters to make the design more legible for people who are not familiar with the German blackletter shapes.

In addition, there are optional display styles available (outline, shadow and fill), which can be used separately or together to create a chromatic layout.

Anyone can base their font strategy on comic book letterers of old. In fact, the most commonly aped styles tend to be those from the 60s and early 70s.

But what about comic book letterers of new? The 80s and a bit beyond? Well, I jumped forward some, give or take a decade, landing moments ahead of the computer-lettering revolution, and with no strategy in mind except maybe to do myself in on the time expenditure, Strategycide was born.

More Its got the narrow stance, the gothic style, some hidden sharpies, and it is absolutely in love with thick outlines and deep drop shadows.

Its a strong face with a clear strategy. Not one likely to hurt you or finish you off, though. That would be Strategycide. Available in two industry-satisfying versions: CAS (Computer-Aided Signmaking) and DTP (Desktop Publishing).

Please note that any effects like outlines and drop-shadows, etc. are not included with this font family.

A retro-style can be regarded as lack of original contemporary ideas. But also as passion for nostalgic time-traveling. Everyone wants to return to their youth at least for a moment. Inicia was one of my first designs (hence the name) from the mid-eighties. The original drawing was never finished because there were too many similar typefaces around.

After three decades the shapes of the old designs suddenly became tempting to finish.

Now restored and completed at Storm Type Foundry.
